Come to the Crystal Palace for a pancake breakfast hosted by the picton Roatry Club. Served with bacon, local maple syrup, fresh fruit and whipped cream and Tim Horton’s coffee… sounds great doesn’t it? Come between 10 and 12 for this hot breakfast and listen to Brian Blain, Canadian Blues Artist who is wrapping up his Quebec tour with a stop to play for us in Picton.
Then, enjoy tea at 12 noon from the Waring House Gourmet to Go and listen to author Merilyn Simonds read from her recently released book A New Leaf… If you want to get a sense from the book, have a look at her blog.
The SUN IS SHINING!!!
And we ALL hope it stays that way!
Getting ready for the Garden Show this weekend. Set-up began this morning for the Show and there is a lot to see! Lovely colours and displays will adorn the Crystal Palace. Lockyer’s was setting up their display in the Blue Bird Building… lots of great things you will want in your garden space. The Corkscrew Willow is especially attractive.
The Green Store is packed with interesting, attractive and useful pieces. You can pick up some great planters, decor, books and magazines and lots of fun stuff for the house and garden.
Terra Vista Landscaping was starting to set up for their display outside.Come and see the finished product!
Geraniums for sale, an orchid bar, amazing vendors with beautiful and unique pieces and of course the Silent Auction. You will no doubt find it tough to choose among the benches and chairs on display. There is so much to inspire your garden…
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!!!
On Sunday morning from 10-12 come to the Crystal Palace in Picton at the County Garden Show for an amazing pancake breakfast and blues performance.
The Rotary Club of Picton will be hosting the breakfast and Brian Blain wrapping up his eastern tour will be setting the mood.
The County Garden Show will also feature an orchid bar!!!
The orchid family contains more than 30,000 species. In spite of their exotic appearance, many orchids are no more difficult to grow than other houseplants. A windowsill makes makes a great home for an orchid and this plant makes a lovely gift for any occasion.
Drew MacCandlish of Wight’s Greenhouse in Wellington will supply the County Garden Show with these exquisite plants. Drew will also display and discuss a healing garden, describing its therapeutic benefits.
As we venture into our gardens and search for Spring’s crocus and tulips, get ready for flowers. At the County Garden Show, beautiful, bright geraniums will be available for purchase at the Green Store.
